Wednesday, 25 April 2012 9:16 AM

Low cost home phone provider, Primus, has cut the price of its Line Rental Saver package to just £6.29 a month.

The deal, available through comparison site Homephonechoices.co.uk, could reduce annual phone rental costs by more than £90 compared with other major landline operators, the company said.

Evening and weekend calls are 2p per minute with daytime calls at 7.4p per minute in a package aimed at light phone users or those who need a fixed line for broadband.

Home phone expert at Consumerchoices.co.uk, Dominic Baliszewski, said: “£6.29 is an outstanding offer from Primus and households who haven’t switched in a while should compare prices using an Ofcom accredited price comparison site to see if it is worth making the switch.”

As well as the Line Rental Saver deal, Homephonechoices.co.uk is also offering Primus Home Phone Saver which includes free evening and weekend calls to UK landlines for a monthly charge of £7.99.
