A price comparison site for home communication services has won accreditation from the industry watchdog for providing accurate and reliable information.

Cable.co.uk has been awarded the Ofcom price accreditation scheme logo after being put through a rigorous audit by the organisation.

This checks whether information provided to consumers is accessible, accurate, transparent, comprehensive and up to date.

Ed Richards, Ofcom Chief Executive, said: "Clear and accurate pricing information on communications phone services is fundamental to consumer choice. By using an Ofcom-accredited price comparison service consumers can expect to receive accurate, transparent and comprehensive pricing information to enable them to choose the best deal for them."

Paul France, CEO of Cable.co.uk, added: “Since launching in 2005, Cable.co.uk has always strived to provide a complete comparison service, together with independent advice on choosing the right TV, broadband or phone package.”

Visitors to the site can also use the company’s special postcode checker to see which services and deals are available in their area.
