Prepaid travel cards are quickly growing in popularity as a safe and cost effective solution to holiday spending.

But with many on the market to choose from it can be difficult to know where to look for the best deal.

To help travellers on the right path, consumer rights champion Which? has done all the hard work by analysing the various products available.

Its experts have recommended the Escape Travel Money card by EZPay Ltd for its limited charges, high-street beating exchange rate and fee-free shopping abroad.

Prepaid travel cards enable holidaymakers to load the card with cash, similar to a pay as you go mobile phone, to use to make purchases abroad.

Unlike some providers, the Escape Travel Money card has limited charges rather than hitting users with fees for topping up or requesting additional cards.

It is free to use in over 30 million locations worldwide wherever the MasterCard mark is displayed.

The card can also be used to make free withdrawals from foreign ATMs as long as the machine itself does not levy a fee.
Users of the Escape Travel Money card can also gain access to a range of money-back offers.
